Contribute

In the pamphlet Self-Support: Where Spirituality and Money Mix, once a group has paid it’s own bills and funded a prudent reserve, any excess funds may be distributed as follows:

50% to intergroup or central office
10% to district
10% to area committee
30% to G.S.O.

Intergroup

The Intergroup Office/Bookstore is entirely self-supporting in accordance with A.A.’s Seventh Tradition, through voluntary contributions of member groups/meetings, individual member contributions, ongoing activities of Intergroup subcommittees, as well as the sale of AA Conference approved literature and other items approved by the Steering Committee.

Faithful Fivers

Faithful Fivers are A.A. members who choose to make a tax-deductible contribution of $5 or more each month to support their local Intergroup in its efforts to carry the A.A. message of hope and recovery. Express your appreciation for the help you’ve received from A.A.

Birthday Club

Many members of the Fellowship choose to make a contribution to show their gratitude to A.A. on their birthday. Typically, this is called becoming a member of the Birthday Club.

The Birthday Plan is for groups or members who wish to contribute to the General Service Office on their A.A. birthday. $1 per year is suggested, but members may contribute as much as they wish up to $5,000. Specify the nature of your contribution when you use Paypal.

A.A. members can make contributions online  by credit card or “E-Check” from U.S. banks. Users first create a confidential user profile, which includes a user ID and a password.

While the Contributions Online site is protected by state-of-the-art encryption technology, G.S.O. suggests that members use the online contributions system from a personal computer that they own or completely control, as entering confidential personal and/or financial information on a public or shared computer can pose security risks.

It is suggested, therefore, that members using computers in libraries, hotel business centers, Internet cafes and even workplace computers and computers owned by friends or acquaintances continue to make their contributions through the traditional telephone or postal methods.
