Starting a New Group

Alcoholics Anonymous’ General Service Office has a ton of information available to answer any questions you have about starting a new meeting or group. So a lot of the information posted here is really a link to the main AA.org website.

In South Florida, we are represented by:

  • Area 15, which is divided into 20 geographic or language districts.
  • District 5 serves part of Sarasota county and Charlotte County including Arcadia, Boca Grande, Englewood, Fort Ogden, Grove City, Nokomis, Port Charlotte, North Port, Punta Gorda, Englewood , Venice, Warm Mineral Springs.
  • The local Intergroup office of District 5 is located in North Port.
